Fighting for an Education for Everyone
Our Students Deserve to be College, Career, and
Life Ready
I’m Anthony Montes – a public servant, a lifelong South San José neighbor, and a proud Santa Teresa High School alum. I’m running for the East Side Union High School District’s Board of Trustees to make our public schools the best choice for every family in our community.
I’ve spent my career working with neighbors to build safer and more affordable communities.
Now, I want to bring that drive to the School Board to deliver a quality education that prepares every student for college, careers, and community leadership.
Join the movement to make our students Life Ready!
Priorities
Student Career & Academic Preparedness
Whether students plan to continue their academic journey or join the workforce, our schools must prepare them with the tools to excel. I will lead the fight to ensure our students have the academic support and skills required for professional success.

- Push for more AP courses and dual enrollment opportunities.
- Expand Career Technical Education (CTE) courses that also satisfy A-G requirements.
- Ensure every student has access to holistic support.
Student Wellness & Campus Safety
A successful learning environment requires campuses where every student and staff member feels safe and welcomed. We must prioritize mental health services and foster true inclusion, leading with compassion to address behavioral challenges.

Community Leadership
We have an opportunity to establish a culture of advocacy. By teaching students to find their voices today, we prepare them to be lifelong leaders who expect public institutions to be transparent and accountable.
